Unlikely mix of fabrics and prints, Persian rug worn as a coat, reinterpreted djellabas , embroideries and kaftan buttons combined with shimmering colors, embellishment on each piece, that is the style of the new fashion prodigy: Art/C.
Unusual mix, certainly, but always combined with taste. The Israeli designer is never doing a fashion faux-pas. His style, and his signature as he likes to say, is becoming more and more popular, therefore he was invited latest January to present his collection at Paris Haute Couture.

Each tattoo covering his body tells us a part of his life. And Art/C had so many lives before becoming a designer: dancer, TV newscaster, owner of a trendy shop in Tel-Aviv. He was a star in Israel. He explains us with enthusiasm that he can’t stop creating. “When I begin something, it brings something else” he adds.

Self-taught, Art/C admits that he never took a course of design or sewing. “I just go with my feeling” he says. One of his strength is certainly his confidence and his optimism: “When you have a dream, there are no boundaries, you have to do everything to achieve it”. Art/C declares very frankly that he is not inspired by any designer, but he respects the vision and the work of each designer. His way to see fashion is more a question of timelessness: it really gives a value to piece of clothing. Very often, his designs are made out of vintage fabrics. If it is not the case he always manages to make them look timeless or a bit vintage. Art/C gets his inspiration from women, individual women with their own style. “You cannot multiple people, so why would you multiple pieces!” he says
After two years in Paris, Art/C is going to settle in Marrakech. He will back in Paris next July to present his latest collection, and this time with men items.
